Definition

If, after having reserved a hotel in the Astotel group on one of the Astotel websites, you find, within 24 hours after your reservation, an equivalent offer at a lower price for the same hotel and the same type of room, on another website (excluding tourism levy but including administrative charges), we undertake to offer you this price, applying an additional 10% reduction.

Application of the guarantee

The Best Price Guarantee applies to reservations made in an Astotel hotel on one of the Astotel websites: www.astotel.com or on their mobile version, and where a confirmation number has been communicated when the reservation was confirmed. To request application of the Best Price Guarantee you must contact the Astotel's Central Reservation service by email [email protected].

Applicable rates/exclusions

The Best Price Guarantee applies exclusively to the accommodation service, and excludes the sale of packages (including a solution proposed in the hotel, transport services or all other services related to room reservation (Breakfasts)). Prices concerned by the Best Price Guarantee must be accessible to the public, and available for reservation, notably excluding:

  • prices reserved for "groups",
  • prices reserved for "companies",
  • prices applied to organisers of seminars and meetings,
  • specific promotional solutions which apply an additional reduction after the reservation (promotional codes provided after subscribing for a newsletter, for example),
  • prices offered by opaque suppliers (for example: Hotwire and Priceline) which give the name or location of the hotel only after the reservation has been made.

 

The Best Price Guarantee does not apply to reservations made via websites access to which is conditional on membership, online memberships or programmes requiring a password or identifier to view the hotel prices and room availability. This includes all memberships or all programmes in which access to reservation is not automatic, and requires "subscription" of consumers to become members, all online interfaces or mobile interfaces used by members and protected by a password, and when it is necessary for consumers to have completed a client profile.

Type of room

The equivalent type of room must be available and reservable on another website when the Astotel's Central Reservation service carries out the check.

Dates and length of stay

The Best Price Guarantee applies to the dates and lengths of stay which are identical to the stay dates reserved on one of the Astotel websites. Concerning requests relating to a reservation for two or more consecutive nights (for the same hotel), the Best Price Guarantee is exercised on the basis of a price per night, not in relation to the total price of the stay.

Currency

If the price found on another website is given in a currency other than the one of the price reserved on the Astotel website, this price will be converted into the same currency as the price offered on the Astotel website, and the applicable currency exchange rate will be that of the European Central Bank in force on the date of the reservation on the Astotel websites when the original reservation was made. After the price has been converted Astotel reserves the right to refuse a claim, particularly if the difference between the prices appears to be due to the fact that the two websites use different currency exchange rates. Price differences due to fluctuations, rounding operations, or relating to currency exchange rate differences will not be accepted under the Best Price Guarantee.

Terms of sale

The terms of sale associated with the price of the other website must be identical to the terms of sale of the price reserved on one of the Astotel group's website for application of the Best Price Guarantee. This relates in particular to the following:

  • requirements for prepayment and deposit payments,
  • cancellation terms,
  • reservation modification terms,
  • included or excluded services.

Submission of requests

You can submit your request by email to the Astotel's Central Reservation service at [email protected]. The required documentary proof must in all cases be attached to the request, in particular the screenshots, showing the date and time, enabling the request for application of the guarantee to be proven and justified, and a link enabling the cheapest offer and its site to be identified. No processing of incomplete or erroneous requests, or requests containing illegible or incomplete proof shall be permitted. A request may be made within 24 hours of the reservation on one of the Astotel websites, with the reservation time having probative force, 72 hours before the scheduled arrival at the hotel. If the original reservation was made within the period of 72 hours before arrival the Best Price Guarantee is not applicable.

Processing of requests

After verification by the Astotel's Central Reservation service, you will receive the Best Price Guarantee if your claim satisfies all the application terms. The Astotel's Central Reservation service will send you an email giving you the confirmation number of your reservation and the new price applicable to your reservation. In the case of a reservation relating to a prepaid price the hotel will reimburse the price difference to the bank card which was initially debited online. If the claim does not meet the conditions relating to the Best Price Guarantee the Astotel's Central Reservation service will send you an email informing you that the Guarantee cannot be applied. If you wish to cancel the reservation made after the rejection of your price reduction request on one of the websites of the Astotel group, the applicable cancellation terms are those mentioned in the general and special terms of the reservation.

Price on leaving the hotel

On leaving the hotel the price confirmed by the Astotel's Central Reservation service will be billed to you together with any services not included in the reservation (restaurant, bar, etc.). In the case of a price which is prepaid at reservation, only any services which are not included in the reservation (restaurant, bar, etc.) will be billed to you on leaving the hotel.

Liability

Any costs incurred by the client after cancellation of a reservation, on a third-party site, after acceptance of the price reduction request, shall be payable in full by it, and excluded from the 10% discount.

The Best Price Guarantee and the terms of this Guarantee may be amended at any time.
